2023 Autumn Event Information

Here is a quick round up of the events happening in the last quarter of the 2023 season. With two shows and two circuit events, there are some good opportunities to come along, see some Cyclekarts up close and learn as much as you can about the hobby. We hope to see you at one of the events below - Team CKGB.

Sywell Classic: Pistons and Props
Sywell Aerodrome, Northamptonshire 23rd & 24th September 2023

Sywell Classic Pistons and Props is only a week or so away and looking to be bigger and better than ever. Combining historic racers, hot rods and motorbikes with classic planes and vintage music to create a fantastic two-day event, celebrating classic motoring on the ground and in the air. Watch amazing live action on the transformed ‘Racing Runway’ and ‘Sprint Strip’ with iconic Formula 1 cars, Hot Rods, Dragsters and Motorcycles all in action throughout the weekend. Up in the skies; expect to see a variety of breath taking aerial displays & acrobatics from a variety of display teams. There is also a vintage fun fair and shopping village.

The Cyclekarts will be there with a stand supporting and promoting the club. We attended this show last year and it brought a lot of new interest and memberships. Please come along and have a chat to the members who will be there proudly displaying their karts. This will be a great opportunity to learn more about the hobby.

Currently, This is a static display only.  For more information please visit https://www.sywellclassic.co.uk

Shuttleworth Race Day Air Show
Bedfordshire Sunday 1st October 2023

The Shuttleworth Race Day Air Show celebrates the passion Richard Shuttleworth had for racing, both on the ground and in the air. He was known for his skill at racing horses, motor vehicles and aircraft which saw him win many accolades including the Donington Park Challenge Trophy in 1935.

The Race Day Air Show brings together icons of the aviation and the motor vehicle industry for a dramatic day of action both on our grass runway and the Bedfordshire skies. On display is the three World Land Speed Records, Sir Malcolm Campbell’s 350hp Sunbeam ‘Bluebird’, alongside 50 other historic racers. The event also features a fantastic selection of ground activities for all, including vintage bus rides, classic car and motorbike parades, Discovery Zones, live music and much more.

CKGB will be proudly displaying 5 Cyclekarts and are there to chat to about ‘all things Cyclekarts’ throughout the day. This is a static display only. For more information and tickets please visit https://www.shuttleworth.org/product/raceday2023/
